My name is Al Heuer and I am a photographic artist who has travelled throughout Eurasia in search of history, politics and most of all her people. Throughout these photographic journeys I began to discover myself as an extension of my photography and began to incorporate my passions and ideals into the themes I was shooting. I began to develop a propaganda pop art style that flowed right out of me like a stream of consciousness and across canvas and photo paper. I feel like a kid again as I explore my inner thoughts and experiences and bring them forth through the venue of my photography. Pop art is a wonderful vehicle to transport your ideas and feelings and politics in a very playful, yet powerful and strong platform. I love mixing art with social, economic and very political themes and bringing them to life with color and enthusiasm and show the vitality of the message brought forth through my love of the art of photography. I hope you, the viewer, find my art both playful and startling and that you come away with some enjoyment and appreciation from my version of political, poster art. I have always felt it was better to shock the senses than play with subtleties and pop art adds a dimension of fun, as well. Thank you for taking the time to view my art and I hope you come away feeling a sense of appreciation for my style of the propaganda poster.
